Barcelone est une ville animée, pleine de choses à découvrir, mais on oublie parfois qu'elle est au bord de la Méditerranée et qu'on peut profiter à la fois des joies urbaines et  de celles de la plage. C'est au cœur du quartier traditionnel des pêcheurs de La Barceloneta, que Jacques et Hannes ont demandé à Egue Y Seta, le célèbre cabinet d'architecture espagnol, de leur aménager un appartement de 40 m², près de la mer, qui s'il n'est pas immense, est toutefois parfait pour les accueillir pendant les deux mois de la saison balnéaire, avec deux invités. Un lourd travail de redistribution a été effectué, permettant une bonne organisation de l'espace, et une circulation améliorée de la lumière.
