Si beaucoup d'entre nous rêvent d'habiter dans un appartement ou une maison ancienne, bien peu sont ceux qui en ont la possibilité. Nous finissons pour la plupart par emménager dans un immeuble moderne, souvent sans âme et aux intérieurs tous semblables. Il est pourtant aisé de réaliser une décoration chaleureuse dans ces espaces, et cela avec un budget limité. Cet appartement suédois est un bon exemple : dans le salon, le mur en bois change toute la perception que l'on a de cette pièce, la nature investit immédiatement le lieu, et les touches jaunes apportent leur fraicheur printanière. La cuisine est un simple modèle Ikea, upgradé par le sol en carreaux de ciment (ou sol vinyle pour un budget plus serré), et les étagères ouvertes. Les jolis meubles vintage ont trouvé leur place jusque sur la terrasse ou un amoncellement de tapis orientaux évoque des pays chauds. Le mélange éclectique est parfaitement réussi et  donne un lieu accueillant et facile à vivre.

While many of us dream of living in an old house or apartment, very few have the opportunity to do so. Most of us end up moving into a modern, often soulless building with similar interiors. It is however easy to create a warm decoration in these spaces, and this with a limited budget. This Swedish apartment is a good example: in the living room, the wooden wall changes the whole perception of this room, nature immediately takes over the place, and the yellow touches bring a spring freshness. The kitchen is a simple Ikea model, upgraded by the cement tile floor (or vinyl floor for a tighter budget), and the open shelves. The pretty vintage furniture has found its place even on the terrace where a pile of oriental carpets evokes warm countries. The eclectic mix is perfectly successful and makes for a welcoming and easy-going place.
