Lucia Smart est une mini maison vitrée de 24m2 en verre et en acier conçue pour par les architectes de Pirinen & Salo, pour l'entreprise finlandaise de construction en verre Savon Lasituote Oy. Si elle est assez confortable et bien équipée pour une vie quotidienne, elle est plutôt destinée à être une résidence de week-end dans la nature finlandaise. Elle est préfabriquée et livrée sur son terrain totalement terminée, installée sur des fondations et raccordée aux réseaux (eau, électricité).
Bien que son architecture interpelle le visiteur, avec son alternance de verre et d'acier, elle s'intègre parfaitement à l'environnement grâce à sa transparence. Elle est orientée de façon à profiter au mieux du paysage qui devient magique dès le soir venu. Les couleurs choisies pour son aménagement intérieur sont sobres, excepté dans la partie cuisine qui est peinte dans une couleur chaude proche du rouge terracotta. Lucia Smart is a 24m2 glass and steel mini-home designed by architects Pirinen & Salo for the Finnish glass construction company Savon Lasituote Oy. While it is comfortable and well-equipped for everyday life, it is intended more as a weekend residence in the Finnish countryside. It is prefabricated and delivered to its site fully finished, installed on a foundation and connected to the public utilities (water, electricity).
Although the architecture of the building is striking, with its alternation of glass and steel, it blends in perfectly with its surroundings thanks to its transparency. It is oriented in such a way as to make the most of the landscape, which becomes magical in the evening. The colours chosen for the interior are sober, except in the kitchen, which is painted in a warm colour close to terracotta red.
