The Restoration Barn se trouve en pleine campagne anglaise de l'Essex. Elle a conservé de sa période de construction au 17e siècle, son imposante structure en bois, qui impressionne tous ceux qui entrent dans cette ancienne grange rénovée par une famille de passionnés. D'une surface totale de plus de 400m2 , ses immenses volumes sont traités d'une façon contemporaine, avec un vaste espace ouvert au rez-de-chaussée, où la division des différentes fonctions s'effectue grâce aux poutres existantes (où selon les dires des propriétaires, et malgré toute leur attention, des araignées apparaissent parfois !).

The Restoration Barn is situated in the heart of the English countryside in Essex. It retains its imposing wooden structure from its 17th century construction, which impresses all who enter this former barn, which has been renovated by a family of enthusiasts. With a total surface area of more than 400m2, its immense volumes are treated in a contemporary way, with a vast open space on the ground floor, where the division of the different functions is carried out thanks to the existing beams (or according to the owners, and in spite of all their attention, spiders sometimes appear!)
The contemporary furnishings of this former barn, renovated by a family for themselves, testify to their desire to live in a place with a history, while loving what characterises our century. The mix is successful, the simplicity of the modern lines is probably what was needed in such an imposing interior, to keep a certain lightness.
