The Barn une maison australienne en bois inspirée par l'habitat rural
The Barn est une maison australienne en bois dont les lignes quoique parfaitement contemporaines ont été inspirées par les fermes anciennes. C'est une maison de vacances à louer dans la campagne à Pullenvale, d'une surface de 412m2, aux grands volumes illuminés par un pignon vitré. Conçu par Paul Uhlmann Architects, elle a été construite avec du bois local, et recouverte d'un toit en zincalume pour se rapprocher du style des hangars de la région.
La grande surface vitrée du pignon est complétée par une ouverture sur l'extérieur et les terrasses avec des panneaux coulissants, ce qui permet également à la lumière de pénétrer largement dans les pièces. Le plan du rez-de-chaussée permet d'ouvrir complètement les espaces et d'accéder rapidement au jardin, ainsi que de les ventiler naturellement. Une amusante chambre dortoir située sous les combles permet aux enfants de recevoir leurs amis. The Barn is an Australian timber house with a contemporary design inspired by old farmhouses. It is a 412m2 holiday home for rent in the Pullenvale countryside, with large volumes illuminated by a glass gable. Designed by Paul Uhlmann Architects, it was built with local timber and covered with a zincalume roof to match the style of the region's sheds.
The large glazed area of the gable is complemented by an opening to the outside and the terraces with sliding panels, which also allows light to penetrate the rooms widely. The ground floor plan allows the spaces to be completely open and to have quick access to the garden, as well as to be naturally ventilated.
