Cette grande maison contemporaine dont les lignes évoquent l'architecture méditerranéenne, se trouve sur l'île de Majorque. Elle a été dessinée par le studio Jaime Salvá Arquitectura & Interiorismo et est posée sur un terrain en pleine campagne, au milieu de terres viticoles. Le propriétaire souhaitait avoir une maison de notre temps, mais dont l'aspect soit un hommage à la vie rustique et respectueuse de son environnement campagnard.
Elle a une architecture de plain-pied, très horizontale, et toutes les pièces ont des vues magnifiques sur la campagne et les montagnes, à l'avant et à l'arrière de la maison. La ventilation naturelle est ainsi facilitée, et rafraîchit la maison pendant les jours les plus chauds. Les pierres qui ont été utilisées pour sa construction ont été récupérées sur le terrain, et sa décoration en tons sables et en matériaux naturels est dans la continuité de l'esprit rustique mais contemporain recherché. C'est une grande maison contemporaine où la vie à l'extérieur est prépondérante, et la belle terrasse aménagée avec une grande cuisine d'été est là pour en témoigner.
This large contemporary house, whose lines evoke Mediterranean architecture, is located on the island of Majorca. It was designed by the studio Jaime Salvá Arquitectura & Interiorismo and is set in a plot of land in the middle of the countryside, surrounded by vineyards. The owner wanted to have a house of our time, but with a look that was a tribute to rustic life and respectful of its rural surroundings.
It has a single storey, very horizontal architecture and all rooms have magnificent views of the countryside and mountains, both to the front and to the rear of the house. This facilitates natural ventilation and keeps the house cool on the hottest days. The stone used in the construction of the house was salvaged from the land, and its decoration in sandy tones and natural materials is in keeping with the rustic yet contemporary spirit sought. This is a house where outdoor living is predominant, and the beautiful terrace with a large summer kitchen is there to testify to this.
