La propriétaire de cet appartement à Minorque est passée du rêve à la réalité : elle habite le plus souvent possible dans ce lieu avec vue sur la mer, pour profiter au mieux d'une vie plus douce au soleil. Paola Gheis est née en Sardaigne et s'est installée ensuite à Barcelone. Mais même si la ville est au bord de la mer, il lui fallait quelque chose en plus : un appartement d'où elle pourrait l'admirer au quotidien, tout en étant au calme. Elle a trouvé ce paradis terrestre sur la plus petite île des Baléares, et rejoint désormais régulièrement son appartement à Minorque pour travailler à distance.

Les travaux de décoration et de rénovation ont été effectués par le studio de design local Farré & Costa Interiors, qui a transformé  cet appartement basique en une résidence confortable pour vivre à l'année. Il est assez grand pour accueillir régulièrement des invités. Et la cerise sur le gâteau est sans doute la terrasse qui donne sur la mer au loin, un atout de charme indéniable qui a incité Paola à acheter cet appartement. Et la seconde terrasse à l'arrière donnant sur la montagne est le second espace extérieur qui justifiait également l'achat.   On la comprend... Photo : Laura Tomás

Flat in Menorca with terrace and sea view

The owner of this flat in Menorca has gone from dream to reality: she lives as often as possible in this place with a view of the sea, in order to make the most of a softer life in the sun. Paola Gheis was born in Sardinia and later moved to Barcelona. But even though the city is by the sea, she needed something more: a flat from which she could admire it every day, while being in a quiet place. She found this earthly paradise on the smallest island of the Balearic Islands, and now regularly moves to her flat in Menorca to work remotely.

The decoration and renovation work was carried out by local design studio Farré & Costa Interiors, who transformed this basic flat into a comfortable year-round residence. It is large enough to accommodate guests on a regular basis. And the icing on the cake is undoubtedly the terrace overlooking the sea in the distance, an undeniably charming feature that prompted Paola to buy this flat. And the second terrace at the back overlooking the mountain is the second outdoor space that also justified the purchase.   We understand her...
