Une maison en pierres du 17e siècle transformée en maison autosuffisante
Si cette maison en pierres du 17e siècle, une ancienne grange espagnole, est meublée sobrement, c'est que son enveloppe rustique suffit à la beauté des lieux, et qu'il n'est pas besoin d'en faire trop, lorsqu'on a une telle bâtisse à sa disposition. L'architecte d'intérieur África Lao l'a transformée en une maison écologique et autosuffisante, apportant là le meilleur de la modernité à une construction ancienne.D'une surface de 60m2 au sol, mais avec 6 mètres de haut, elle a été divisée en deux zones de 30m2, une pour la partie salon et cuisine, une autre pour la chambre et la salle de bain, ainsi que le dressing.
L'architecte d'intérieur qui vivait à Barcelone pendant la pandémie, a vu là l'occasion inespérée de vivre en autarcie énergétique, en utilisant des matériaux durables. Le concept a été de conserver tous les éléments d'origine, les murs en pierre naturelle d'un mètre d'épaisseur, construits avec des pierres provenant de ruisseaux locaux. La maison en pierres du 17e siècle est devenue autonome en énergie grâce à des panneaux solaires, une chaudière à granulés et une cuisinière à bois intérieure. Un puits couvre tous les besoins en eau. L'architecte est la fille de Joan Lao et directrice de son studio, et a également ajouté des peintures magnifiques de sa mère, l'artiste Adalina Coromines. This 17th-century stone house, an old Spanish barn, is soberly furnished because its rustic exterior is enough to make it beautiful, and there is no need to overdo it when you have such a building at your disposal. The interior designer África Lao has transformed it into an ecological and self-sufficient house, bringing the best of modernity to an old building.With a floor area of 60m2, but 6 metres high, it has been divided into two areas of 30m2, one for the living room and kitchen, another for the bedroom and bathroom, as well as the dressing room.
The interior designer, who was living in Barcelona during the pandemic, saw this as an unexpected opportunity to live in energy self-sufficiency, using sustainable materials. The concept was to keep all the original elements, the one metre thick natural stone walls, built with stones from local streams. The house is self-sufficient in energy thanks to solar panels, a pellet boiler and an indoor wood cooker. A well covers all water needs. The architect is Joan Lao's daughter and director of her studio, and has also added beautiful paintings by her mother, artist Adalina Coromines.
