Depuis le salon de cette charmante cabane de pêcheurs, Captain Jack's Wharf, on regarde la mer et la baie de Cape Cod en Nouvelle-Angleterre. L'intérieur semble s'être arrêté dans le temps, avec ses objets de récup, ses trouvailles de brocantes comme le canapé en rotin des années 1940, ses objets patinés et ses vieux fauteuils club qui ont eu des jours meilleurs. Construite au début du 20e siècle, pour permettre aux pêcheurs de stocker leurs appâts et leur matériel, elle a eu une vie plus palpitante ensuite.
Car cette charmante cabane de pêcheurs a accueilli des hôtes prestigieux comme les auteurs Eugene O'Neill et Tennessee Williams. Les propriétaires lorsqu'ils l'ont acquise, l'ont laissé pratiquement dans son état d'origine, juste en rénovant le plancher de bois abîmé par des couches de peinture successives, et ils ont également refait la cuisine et la salle de bain. Et bien que petite, cette maison peut tout de même accueillir quatre personnes, avec sa chambre séparée et une autre sur la mezzanine.

The interior seems to have stood still in time, with its salvaged objects, second-hand finds such as the 1940s rattan sofa, its patina and old club chairs that have seen better days. Built in the early 20th century as a place for fishermen to store their bait and tackle, it has had a more exciting life since then.
This charming fisherman's cottage has played host to such prestigious guests as authors Eugene O'Neill and Tennessee Williams. When the owners bought it, they left it virtually in its original state, just renovating the wooden floor that had been damaged by successive coats of paint, and they also redid the kitchen and bathroom. And although small, this house can still sleep four people, with its separate bedroom and another on the mezzanine.
