Un loft moderne et coloré dans un immeuble de style haussmannien

Cet immeuble de type haussmannien pourrait se trouver dans un beau quartier de Paris. Mais c'est à Buenos Aires sur la Plaza San Martin que nous le découvrons. Cet appartement qui est situé dans cet immeuble classique l'est beaucoup moins. Sa propriétaire, Mara Balbi vit dans la banlieue de cette grande ville, et a travaillé longtemps dans ce bâtiment. Lorsque sa société a déménagé des lieux, elle a fait l'acquisition de son ancien bureau pour avoir un pied-à-terre central.

Elle a confié à l'architecte Víctor Della Vecchia, fondateur du studio VDVA, le soin de le transformer. Celui-ci lui a fait une proposition audacieuse. Il lui a présenté le projet d'un loft moderne et coloré respectant l'histoire de l'immeuble. Ce pied-à-terre parfait pour y passer ses fins de semaine conserve ses traces d'identité au milieu d'une modernité absolue. Pour la décoration de ce loft moderne et coloré, c'est la designer Karina Contini qui a joué sur le marbre, le terrazzo, les textiles le bois, et les plantes.

Modern, colourful loft in a Haussmann-style building

This Haussmann-style building could be located in a beautiful district of Paris. But it's in Buenos Aires on the Plaza San Martin that we're discovering it. The flat located in this classic building is much less so. Its owner, Mara Balbi, lives in the suburbs of this great city, and worked in this building for a long time. When her company moved out, she bought her former office to have a central pied-à-terre.

She commissioned architect Víctor Della Vecchia, founder of the VDVA studio, to transform it. He came up with a bold proposal. He presented her with a project for a modern, colourful loft that respected the history of the building. The perfect pied-à-terre for spending weekends, keeping its traces of identity in the midst of absolute modernity.
