Dans une ville comme Hong Kong, une ville où l'immobilier est hors de prix, devenir propriétaire de son appartement est un projet difficile à réussir. C'est toutefois ce qui a été réalisé par une jeune femme qui a acheté ce petit appartement, et qui s'est installée là avec son chat. Elle a confié au studio Out of Stock, le soin de réaliser un studio de 18m2 au design optimisé, où elle pourrait vivre selon son mode de vie. Malgré la petite superficie disponible, les professionnels ont tout de même réussi à aménager une chambre, un bureau, une salle à manger, et prévoir des solutions de rangement.

Sans doute pour beaucoup d'entre-nous il manque un canapé, mais ce n'était pas le désir de la propriétaire d'en posséder. Comme elle utilise souvent son ordinateur pour travailler ou pour ses loisirs, l'espace sous le lit mezzanine a été transformé en bureau, remplaçant ainsi l'aménagement habituel du salon par un canapé et un meuble TV. Après tout, un lit c'est très confortable pour lire, et dans une aussi petite surface, il est assez difficile de recevoir, sachant que à Hong-Kong, on rencontre plutôt ses amis à l'extérieur de la maison, comme souvent en Asie. Le chat est parfaitement à son aise dans ce studio de 18m2 au design optimisé, et tout a été prévu pour lui sous l'espace de l'escalier.

Despite the small surface area available, the professionals still managed to fit out a bedroom, study and dining room, as well as providing storage solutions.

No doubt many of us are missing a sofa, but it wasn't the owner's wish to have one. As she often uses her computer for work or leisure, the space under the loft bed was transformed into a study, replacing the usual living room layout with a sofa and TV unit. After all, a bed is very comfortable for reading, and in such a small space it's quite difficult to entertain, bearing in mind that in Hong Kong you tend to meet your friends outside the house, as is often the case in Asia. The cat is perfectly at ease in this 18m2 studio with its optimised design, and everything has been provided for it under the staircase.
