Christina Lopez, designer d'espaces et décoratrice d'intérieur, a aménagé un plateau livré brut, un grand studio de 42m2 transformé en un deux-pièces avec une chambre séparée en ajoutant une verrière derrière le canapé du salon. Dans cet appartement situé dans un ancien palace d'Aix-les-Bains en Savoie, qui avait brûlé il y a quelques années et qui a été reconstruit, la demande de son client était de réaliser un lieu pour ses vacances qui ne manque pas de personnalité.
L'ajout de la verrière a permis de délimiter les espaces sans perdre la sensation de volume de ce grand studio de 42m2 transformé en deux-pièces. Les courbes reprennent les motifs des ferronneries dans les communs et ainsi que les arrondis des balcons du bâtiment. La recherche de l'ergonomie a été également au centre de la réflexion de la professionnelle, qui a rendu la circulation fluide et évidente. La couleur saumon clair de la décoration apporte beaucoup de chaleur à cet appartement sans lui retirer sa luminosité. Christina Lopez, space designer and interior decorator, has transformed a flat delivered unfinished, a large 42m2 studio, into a one-bedroom with a separate bedroom by adding a glass partition behind the sofa in the living room. Located in a former luxury hotel in Aix-les-Bains, Savoie, which had burnt down a few years ago and was now being rebuilt, her client's brief was to create a holiday home with plenty of personality.
The addition of the glass partition has allowed the spaces to be delineated without losing the sense of volume of this large 42m2 studio converted into a one-bedroom. The curves echo the patterns of the ironwork in the communal areas and the curves of the building's balconies. The search for ergonomics was also at the heart of the professional's thinking, which made the flow of movement fluid and obvious. The light salmon colour of the decor adds warmth to the flat without taking away from its brightness.
