Cette tiny house de 28m2 pour six personnes installée dans le jardin d'une grande propriété à St Ives dans les Cornouailles, était un défi à relever. Installer deux lits doubles et deux lits simples dans une aussi petite surface tout en offrant une cuisine de bonne taille et une salle de bain confortable, ainsi qu'un salon salle à manger, représentait un challenge qui a été ici parfaitement relevé. Le bois et sa facilité à être intégré partout est le protagoniste de l'histoire. On le retrouve aussi bien à l'extérieur sur la façade, qu'à l'intérieur, où il constitue la base de l'aménagement intérieur.
Ce sont les bateaux qui ont inspiré les propriétaires de cette mini maison. Deux cabines ont été créées pour accueillir des couchages, et un lit supplémentaire a été installé dans le salon et peut se cacher derrière un rideau. This 28m2 tiny house for six people in the garden of a large property in St Ives, Cornwall, was a very challenging project. Fitting two double beds and two single beds into such a small space, while offering a good-sized kitchen and a comfortable bathroom, as well as a lounge/dining room, was a challenge that was met perfectly here. Wood and its ease of integration everywhere is the protagonist of the story. It can be found both on the exterior façade and inside, where it forms the basis of the interior design.
Boats were the inspiration for the owners of this mini house. Two cabins have been created to provide sleeping accommodation, and an extra bed has been installed in the living room and can be hidden behind a curtain. This Scandinavian-inspired tiny house with its wooden terrace is very elegant, and also has a lovely wood-burning stove that's just the thing to warm up the atmosphere when it's cooler. And to top it all off, it's close to Carbis Bay Beach, one of the prettiest beaches on the Cornish coast.
