Benjamin qui est un de mes talentueux lecteurs (oui, oui, merci à lui de sa confiance!), a habité longtemps dans le nord de la France dont il est originaire. Il vivait alors dans un grand loft à Lille, avec une structure métallique. Et lorsqu'il a du s'installer à Paris, c'est en découvrant ce studio avec terrasse dans le 17e arrondissement de la capitale, qu'il a eu envie d'apporter dans son nouvel appartement, le style industriel qui lui plaisait tant. Et comme l'appartement est situé dans un bel immeuble classique avec une grande hauteur sous plafond, il a pu en faire un studio à Paris avec une chambre loft. Il a également choisi d'y apporter de la couleur pour lui donner plus de personnalité.

L'idée était d'être dans Paris et un volume à refaire totalement dans un immeuble historique pour préserver le patrimoine tout en contribuant à sa performance énergétique car il travaille dans le domaine du développement durable. Et d'avoir également un extérieur au calme. Ce studio à Paris avec une chambre loft est situé dans l'ancien atelier des peintres Auguste et François Flameng et a été construit par l'architecte Stephen Sauvestre en 1880-1881. Un tableau de Pierre-Victor Galland se trouve au plafond du hall. Cet appartement a été utilisé ensuite comme bureau, et Benjamin a pu le retransformer en logement après son acquisition. Il lui voulu lui donner une personnalité rock et vintage, selon ses goûts, tout en conservant la cheminée d'origine et le beau parquet. And to have a quiet exterior too. This Paris studio with a bedroom loft is located in the former studio of painters Auguste and François Flameng, and was constructed by architect Stephen Sauvestre in 1880-1881. A painting by Pierre-Victor Galland hangs from the hall ceiling. The flat was later used as an office, and Benjamin was able to convert it back into a home after buying it.
