La nouvelle décoration contemporaine des pièces familiales de cette maison en Hollande méridionale aux Pays-Bas  a été conçue par la styliste Fietje Bruijn pour le magazine Vt Wonen. Les propriétaires de cette maison ont des goûts très différents, elle aime le design rétro et les couleurs vives, et lui préfère les endroits plus épurés. La cheminée au milieu de la grande pièce était un élément intangible et tout a du se décider autour du bloc massif qu'elle représente dans l'espace familial.

La nouvelle décoration contemporaine a donc tenu compte de cet élément qui enlevait beaucoup de lumière à la pièce. Le salon a été aménagé avec un grand canapé d'angle qui vient jusque devant la cheminée, et de l'autre côté vers la véranda qui devient ainsi partie intégrante de ce volume familial, et permet à la famille de bénéficier de sa lumière. New contemporary decor for a house in Holland

The new contemporary decor in the family rooms of this house in South Holland was designed by stylist Fietje Bruijn for Vt Wonen magazine. The owners of this house have very different tastes: she likes retro design and bright colours, while he prefers more streamlined spaces. The fireplace in the middle of the great room was an intangible element and everything had to be decided around the massive block it represents in the family space.

The new contemporary decor therefore takes account of this element, which took a lot of light out of the room. The living room has been fitted out with a large corner sofa that stretches out in front of the fireplace, and on the other side towards the veranda, which thus becomes an integral part of the family space, allowing the family to benefit from its light.
