Face à la plage de Belongil, qui était autrefois un paisible village de pêcheurs à Byron Bay en Australie, cette immense maison minimaliste a une surface de plus de 2000m2 ! Pourtant (et contrairement à d'autres maisons contemporaines tout aussi vastes), elle multiplie les zones intimes, et ne semble pas si démesurée que cela lorsque l'on se trouve à l'intérieur.
La structure contemporaine est disposée en forme de U et offre une vue imprenable sur l'océan Pacifique, Julian Rocks et le phare de Cape Byron. Les hauts plafonds sont à quatre mètres de hauteur, et la décoration intérieure joue sur le travertin et les couleurs chaudes. Elles habillent les différents espaces de la maison, afin de la rendre accueillante. Depuis son jardin, on accède directement à la plage par un chemin privé, et outre son architecture et ses espaces, c'est là le principal atout de cette maison hors-normes.
