Cette maison ancienne rénovée en Espagne a été confiée à The Room Studio qui en a fait un lieu à la décoration élégante et naturelle. Faire revivre ce joyaux ancien d'une surface de 450m2 était un pari osé, qui a été réussi en sauvegardant la grande majorité des éléments anciens. A Molins de Rei, en Catalogne, Can Madurell avait été plusieurs fois rénovée, mais sans respect pour son architecture ancienne.
Ses nouveaux propriétaires désiraient lui rendre son âme classique, et que la modernisation soit effective mais discrète pour l'adapter à la vie actuelle. Le travail de décoration intérieure a commencé avec le défi de récupérer la maison telle qu'elle a été conçue sans un ascenseur qui reliait les deux étages par l'extérieur et qui la défigurait totalement. La façade a été dépouillée des éléments extérieurs et des interventions disparates ajoutées au fil des années, pour récupérer son aspect d'origine. Dans chaque recoin de cette maison ancienne rénovée en Espagne, le passé et le présent s’entremêlent désormais harmonieusement.
The Room Studio was entrusted with the renovation of this old house in Spain, turning it into a place of elegant, natural decor. Bringing this 450m2 jewel back to life was a daring challenge, but one that has been successfully met by preserving the vast majority of the old features. In Molins de Rei, Catalonia, Can Madurell had been renovated several times, but with no respect for its ancient architecture.
Its new owners wanted to give it back its classic soul, and for the modernisation to be effective but discreet, adapting it to modern life. The interior decorating work began with the challenge of recovering the house as it was designed without a lift linking the two floors from the outside, which totally disfigured it. The façade was stripped of the exterior elements and disparate interventions added over the years, to recover its original appearance. In every corner of this old house renovated in Spain, past and present now blend harmoniously.
