La designer d'intérieur Yulia Golavskaya, fondatrice du studio Golavskaya a été chargée par sa cliente de remettre au goût du jour (et surtout à son goût) cet appartement dans un style qui soit à la fois élégant et naturel. Il était nécessaire toutefois de conserver tout ce qui était déjà aimé par cette famille de voyageurs qui vit de longs mois à l'étranger. La propriétaire collectionne les oiseaux de verre, son mari les modèles réduits d'avions, et leur fils, comme beaucoup d'adolescents, les sneakers. Les livres et la musique tiennent également une place importante dans le quotidien de cette famille, qui désirait plus que tout un appartement serein de 90m2.

L'appartement est situé dans un bâtiment de 1929,  et fait face à un canal. Son plan présente des formes irrégulières et courbes. Des poutres en acier qui ne peuvent pas être dissimulées sont visibles sur le plafond. Il fallait donc prendre en compte ces nombreux éléments avant de procéder aux travaux. Afin d'y créer un environnement harmonieux, une palette de couleurs a été sélectionnée pour chaque pièce, dans l'entrée du jaune pâle, dans le salon du gris-bleu, du blanc chaud dans la cuisine et dans le bureau. A serene 90m2 flat for a family of travellers

Interior designer Yulia Golavskaya, founder of the Golavskaya studio, was asked by her client to bring this flat up to date (and above all to her taste) in a style that was both elegant and natural. However, it was necessary to preserve everything that was already loved by this family of travellers who live abroad for many months at a time. The owner collects glass birds, her husband collects model planes, and their son, like many teenagers, collects sneakers. Books and music also play an important role in the daily lives of this family, who wanted more than anything else a serene 90m2 flat.

The flat is located in a 1929 building facing a canal. The floor plan is irregular and curved. Steel beams that cannot be hidden are visible on the ceiling. All these elements had to be taken into account before the work could begin. To create a harmonious environment, a colour palette was selected for each room: pale yellow in the entrance hall, grey-blue in the living room, warm white in the kitchen and in the home office.
