Un appartement atypique de 50m2 pour une famille

C'est dans l'ancien lycée d'Årstagård à Stockholm en Suède, transformé en résidence privée que cet appartement atypique de 50m2 seulement, a été créé en tenant compte de l'architecture d'origine du bâtiment. Entièrement rénové en 2017 et conçu par un architecte de l'Atelier Alba, ce n'est ni tout à fait un studio, ni tout à fait un deux-pièces, mais plutôt un mini loft familial, avec une grande cuisine ouverte sur une pièce qui est à la fois le salon, et les chambres d'enfant et d'adultes.

De beaux matériaux ont été choisis dans tout l'appartement, qui est meublé et décoré avec des couleurs profondes et originales. La belle hauteur sous plafond de 3,5m donne une impression de volume accrue à ce petit appartement qui a tout d'un grand. L'appartement s'articule autour d'un astucieux meuble TV qui sert de séparateur entre les zones, sans toutefois les fermer totalement. La surface a vraiment été exploitée au maximum sans pour autant que l'on se sente à l'étroit.

A 50m2 atypical flat for a family

The former Årstagård secondary school in Stockholm, Sweden, has been converted into a private residence, and this atypical flat of just 50m2 has been created in keeping with the building's original architecture. Completely renovated in 2017 and designed by an architect from Atelier Alba, it is neither quite a studio nor quite a one-bedroom, but rather a mini family loft, with a large kitchen opening onto a room that is both the living room and the children's and adults' bedrooms.

Beautiful materials have been chosen throughout the flat, which is furnished and decorated in deep, original colours. The high ceilings (3.5 m) give this small flat, which has all the makings of a large one, an added sense of volume. The flat is built around a clever TV unit that acts as a divider between the different areas, without closing them off completely. The surface area has really been exploited to the full without feeling cramped.
