Fonctionnelle et belle, et située à Äkäslompolo près de la station de ski d'Ylläs en Laponie, Housu est une longue maison en bois en Finlande conçue par l'architecte Otso Virtanen d'ARK Helsinki en 2023. Son intérieur a été réalisé par l'entreprise Fyra, et est un mélange entre décoration contemporaine et les traditions finlandaises avec l'utilisation du bois d'épicéa local. Très lumineuse grâce à son pignon vitré en double hauteur, la maison semble isolée dans son paysage immaculé.
La lumière naturelle met en valeur les beaux volumes et la couleur douce et claire du bois. La maison dispose d'un salon confortable, d'une cuisine moderne et d'une chambre principale donnant sur la terrasse et le jacuzzi. Une cheminée réchauffe la grande pièce de vie, centrée autour de la baie vitrée qui permet de pénétrer au coeur du paysage sans bouger du canapé, bien au chaud. Un sauna traditionnel dans les maisons scandinaves, permet de se réchauffer après une longue journée à skier. Le soir, le spectacle magique des aurores boréales vous envoûte avant le repos nocturne. Et si la maison est contemporaine, son architecte inspirée des traditions locales lui permet de s'intégrer parfaitement à son environnement.
Functional and beautiful, and located in Äkäslompolo near the Ylläs ski resort in Lapland, Housu is a long wooden house in Finland designed by architect Otso Virtanen of ARK Helsinki in 2023. Its interior was designed by the Fyra company, and is a blend of contemporary design and Finnish traditions, with the use of local spruce wood. Thanks to its double-height glazed gable, the house is very bright and seems isolated in its immaculate landscape.
The natural light enhances the spaciousness and the soft, light colour of the wood. The house has a comfortable living room, a modern kitchen and a master bedroom opening onto the terrace and jacuzzi. A fireplace warms the large living area, centred around the bay window that lets you step into the heart of the landscape from the warmth of the sofa. A sauna, traditional in Scandinavian homes, is a great way to warm up after a long day's skiing. In the evening, the magical spectacle of the Northern Lights will enchant you before your night's rest.
