Après un sommeil de 40 ans, cet appartement rénové et son jardin vertical situé dans le centre de Madrid ont désormais une nouvelle allure
L'architecte d'intérieur Maria del Valle a été chargée par les propriétaires de cet appartement à Madrid, d'en revoir totalement la décoration qui n'avait pas évoluée depuis longtemps. L' aménagement de la terrasse était l'un des points essentiels à réaliser. Après un sommeil de 40 ans, cet appartement rénové et son jardin vertical ont désormais une nouvelle allure par la grâce de la décoration. La base étant intemporelle et neutre, il s'agissait également de lui donner de la personnalité en le décorant avec diverses œuvres originales. C'est ainsi que des œuvres artistiques de Linea Lateral, ou des scuptures de Maite Carranzo ont pris place sur les murs et sur les étagères de la bibliothèque.
Sur la terrasse, un important appareil pour la climatisation limitait l'espace et était difficile à cacher. Un claustra en bois avec une porte permettant d'accéder à l'appareil a été installé et le cache totalement tout en le laissant respirer. Le sol a été recouvert pour cacher l'ancien carrelage daté. Mais le point focal de cet espace extérieur est sans doute le jardin vertical qui a été créé à une extrémité pour apporter de la fraicheur à cet environnement urbain. Étant donné que le couple part régulièrement en voyage, et que le soleil est présent et intense de façon continue dans l'après-midi, pour cet appartement rénové et son jardin vertical, ce sont des plantes artificielles qui ont été sélectionnées. Interior designer Maria del Valle was commissioned by the owners of this flat in Madrid to completely overhaul the interior design, which had remained unchanged for a long time. The design of the terrace was one of the key points. After a 40-year slumber, this renovated flat and its vertical garden now have a new look thanks to the decoration. As the base was timeless and neutral, the idea was also to give it personality by decorating it with a variety of original works. Works of art by Linea Lateral and scuptures by Maite Carranzo have taken their place on the walls and on the library shelves.
On the terrace, a large air-conditioning unit limited space and was difficult to hide. A wooden screen with a door allowing access to the unit was installed, hiding it completely while allowing it to breathe. The floor was covered to hide the old, dated tiling. But the focal point of this outdoor space is undoubtedly the vertical garden that has been created at one end to bring freshness to this urban environment. Given that the couple regularly go on trips, and that the sun is present and intense throughout the afternoon, artificial plants were selected for this renovated flat and its vertical garden.
