À Egremont, sur les rives paisibles de Prospect Lake, dans le Massachusetts, Prospect réinvente l’art de séjourner en pleine nature. Imaginé par Jade-Snow Carroll et Ian Rasch, ce domaine de 49 cabanes contemporaines offre confort et sérénité au bord de Prospect Lake. La petite maison en bois de cèdre présentée ici, est un modèle de 37m2, est inspirée de l’architecture scandinave. Construite en collaboration avec Alander Construction qui a conçu les cabines, puis a travaillé avec la société de Zook Cabins qui qui emploie des charpentiers Amish, l'ensemble des petites maisons a été installé sur place en seulement quatre mois.
Son revêtement extérieur se patinera avec le temps pour se fondre dans les arbres. L’intérieur, aux murs en pin clair, mise sur un design épuré et fonctionnel : une kitchenette, un espace salon lumineux et une décoration volontairement minimaliste pour revenir à l’essentiel. Les larges ouvertures cadrent les vues sur le lac, invitant à ralentir et à savourer le paysage. Ici, pas de fioritures : chaque ligne, chaque matériau répond à un souci d’harmonie et de simplicité. In Egremont, on the peaceful shores of Prospect Lake in Massachusetts, Prospect is reinventing the art of staying in the heart of nature. Designed by Jade-Snow Carroll and Ian Rasch, this estate of 49 contemporary cabins offers comfort and serenity on the shores of Prospect Lake. The small cedar wood house shown here is a 37m2 model inspired by Scandinavian architecture. Built in collaboration with Alander Construction, which designed the cabins, and then worked with Zook Cabins, a company that employs Amish carpenters, all of the small houses were installed on site in just four months.
Its exterior cladding will weather over time to blend in with the trees. The interior, with its light pine walls, features a sleek and functional design: a kitchenette, a bright living area and deliberately minimalist décor to get back to basics. The large windows frame the views of the lake, inviting you to slow down and savour the landscape.
