À Valence, un appartement de 70m2 rénové a trouvé la modernité grâce une designer avec ses espaces ouverts et sa décoration contemporaine.
Rénover sans effacer le passé : tel était le défi de la designer d’intérieur Anabel Soria pour transformer cet appartement de 70m2 rénové par ses soins, situé à Benimaclet, un quartier emblématique de Valence en Espagne. La propriétaire souhaitait à la fois moderniser la maison et préserver les souvenirs de sa grand-mère, ancienne habitante des lieux. La distribution d’origine, compartimentée et sombre, a laissé place à une organisation ouverte et lumineuse. La cuisine, autrefois dissimulée, s’ouvre désormais sur le salon et la salle à manger, réunis dans un espace fluide où un îlot central rythme la vie quotidienne.
La galerie intérieure a été réinvestie pour agrandir le séjour et la salle de bain, tandis qu’un hall semi-ouvert crée une transition douce vers la pièce de vie. Une belle façon d’ouvrir les espaces et d’optimiser la surface de cet appartement de 70m2 rénové sans perdre en confort. La décoration joue un rôle clé dans ce projet : carrelages rétro réinterprétés, objets en céramique, poutres et piliers laissés apparents, autant de clins d’œil au passé qui cohabitent avec des lignes contemporaines. Bois, blanc et tissus doux apportent chaleur et sérénité, tandis les détails design soulignent la modernité. Renovating without erasing the past: this was the challenge facing interior designer Anabel Soria when she set about transforming this 70m2 flat, located in Benimaclet, an iconic neighbourhood in Valencia, Spain. The owner wanted to modernise the home while preserving the memories of her grandmother, who had previously lived there. The original layout, which was compartmentalised and dark, has been replaced by an open and bright design. The kitchen, which was once hidden away, now opens onto the living room and dining room, which have been combined into a fluid space where a central island sets the pace for everyday life.
The interior gallery has been reclaimed to enlarge the living room and bathroom, while a semi-open hall creates a smooth transition to the living area. This is a beautiful way to open up the spaces and optimise the surface area of this renovated 70m² flat without compromising on comfort. Decoration plays a key role in this project: reinterpreted retro tiles, ceramic objects, exposed beams and pillars are all nods to the past that coexist with contemporary lines. Wood, white and soft fabrics bring warmth and serenity, while design details emphasise modernity. This flat, rich in interior design tricks, has thus become a bright and welcoming place.
