Un appartement classique et lumineux réinventé par l’art
Une artiste a rénové un appartement classique et lumineux de Buenos Aires en lieu moderne guidée par ses oeuvres et son héritage familial
À Buenos Aires, dans le joli quartier de Recoleta, l’artiste Rosario Briones a transformé un appartement classique et lumineux en une toile vivante. Guidée par ses propres œuvres, elle a marié héritage familial, lignes modernes et touches colorées inspirées de la nature. Pour cette plasticienne, l’art et l’habitat se nourrissent l’un l’autre. En découvrant cet appartement au style français, elle y a vu une toile idéale : plafonds hauts, parquets dorés, lumière filtrée par la verdure. Ses encres, aux formes organiques rappelant le végétal, ont dicté la palette et l’ambiance des lieux.
La rénovation a respecté l’âme classique du lieu tout en intégrant des lignes contemporaines. La cheminée d’origine en marbre a cédé la place à un modèle design, tandis que chaque étagère s’illumine désormais pour mettre en valeur les objets chargés d’histoire. Pour élargir la perspective, deux panneaux de verre encadrent la porte-fenêtre, ouvrant la pièce sur le balcon. Le mobilier raconte aussi une histoire intime. Rosario a restauré la table de ses grands-parents et intégré d’autres pièces héritées. Dans la cuisine, les meubles neufs conservent une touche rétro, en écho à la fenêtre à vitraux existante. In Buenos Aires, in the charming neighbourhood of Recoleta, artist Rosario Briones has transformed a classic, light-filled flat into a living canvas. Guided by her own artwork, she has combined family heritage, modern lines and colourful touches inspired by nature. For this visual artist, art and living spaces feed off each other. When she discovered this French-style flat, she saw it as the ideal canvas: high ceilings, golden parquet floors, light filtered through greenery. Her inks, with organic shapes reminiscent of plants, dictated the palette and atmosphere of the space.
The renovation respected the classic soul of the place while incorporating contemporary lines. The original marble fireplace has been replaced by a designer model, while each shelf is now illuminated to highlight objects steeped in history. To broaden the perspective, two glass panels frame the French window, opening the room onto the balcony. The furniture also tells an intimate story. Rosario restored her grandparents' table and incorporated other inherited pieces. In the kitchen, the new furniture retains a retro touch, echoing the existing stained-glass window.
