À Prague, le studio GutGut transforme un appartement au design bois en espace ouvert et lumineux avec des éléments en inox et des couleurs
À Prague, le studio d’architecture GutGut a repensé un appartement en misant sur l’ouverture, la lumière et le contraste entre bois naturel et inox. Le résultat: un espace fluide, design et chaleureux. L’idée maîtresse de ce projet d' appartement rénové au design bois était claire: supprimer les cloisons inutiles pour agrandir la perception de l’espace. Le studio GutGut a ainsi transformé le plan d’origine en connectant l’ancien couloir à la zone de vie principale. Les architectes ont joué sur les volumes porteurs et le mobilier sur mesure pour structurer l’appartement sans le cloisonner.
Le cœur du logement s’organise autour d’un grand espace de jour ouvert, baigné de lumière naturelle. Derrière une cloison en bois blond, la partie nuit se fait plus intime. On y trouve la chambre, la salle de bain et les espaces techniques. Ce mur structurel agit comme un filtre visuel et acoustique, séparant discrètement les univers tout en gardant une belle continuité de matières. L’intérieur de cet appartement rénové au design bois affiche une sobriété raffinée, rythmée par des associations de textures. Les matières naturelles apportent de la douceur, tandis que l’inox affirme une modernité nette, presque industrielle. Quelques touches de couleur dynamisent l’ensemble: étagères bleu profond, élément de cuisine rouge vif, revêtement vert doux. In Prague, the architectural studio GutGut redesigned an apartment by focussing on openness, light, and the contrast between natural wood and stainless steel. The result is a fluid, stylish, and warm space. The main idea of this renovated wooden-designed apartment project was clear: to remove unnecessary partitions to enlarge the perception of space. GutGut studio thus transformed the original plan by connecting the former corridor to the main living area. The architects played with the load-bearing volumes and custom-made furniture to structure the apartment without partitioning it.
The heart of the dwelling is organised around a large open living space, bathed in natural light. Behind a blond wood partition, the sleeping area becomes more intimate. There, you will find the bedroom, the bathroom, and the technical spaces. This structural wall acts as a visual and acoustic filter, discreetly separating the spaces while maintaining a beautiful continuity of materials. The interior of this renovated apartment displays a refined sobriety, punctuated by associations of textures. Natural materials bring softness, while stainless steel asserts a clean, almost industrial modernity. A few touches of colour energise the whole: deep blue shelves, a bright red kitchen element, soft green cladding. These chromatic accents add character without disrupting the visual balance.
