Derrière une façade discrète, la transformation d'une maison de banlieue tout près de Paris donne un lieu désormais spacieux, clair et moderne. À l’origine, cette maison sur une parcelle étroite tout en longueur offrait du potentiel, mais était sombre et triste. Elle manquait en outre clairement de confort contemporain. L’architecte Camille Hermand a entièrement repensé les volumes intérieurs existants. Son intervention a transformé la maison en un lieu parfaitement adapté à la famille de ses propriétaires. Le nouveau plan a installé la cuisine et la salle à manger en rez-de-jardin largement ouvert sur l'extérieur grâce à une fenêtre de type verrière.
Cet ancien sous-sol profite désormais de larges ouvertures côté rue et côté jardin. Une cour anglaise apporte une lumière précieuse à l’arrière de la maison. Côté jardin, la verrière et la véranda redessinent complètement la façade initiale. À l’intérieur, la cuisine s’étire le long des murs et autour des poteaux. Les carreaux de béton amplifient la lumière, tandis que le chêne apporte chaleur visuelle. Des façades vertes dialoguent avec le jardin et un papier-peint panoramique. Les menuiseries sur-mesure dissimulent les radiateurs et les rangements avec une grande précision. Des portes vitrées filtrent les sons tout en laissant circuler librement la lumière. Les étages accueillent les chambres, les rangements intégrés et une suite parentale confortable. Behind a discreet façade, the transformation of a suburban house near Paris has created a spacious, bright and modern home. Originally, this house on a narrow, elongated plot had potential, but was dark and dreary. It also clearly lacked contemporary comfort. Architect Camille Hermand completely redesigned the existing interior spaces. Her work transformed the house into a space perfectly suited to the owners' family. The new layout placed the kitchen and dining room on the ground floor, opening up to the outside thanks to a glass workshop window.
This former basement now benefits from large openings on the street and garden sides. An English courtyard brings precious light to the rear of the house. On the garden side, the glass workshop window and veranda completely redesign the original façade. Inside, the kitchen stretches along the walls and around the posts. Concrete tiles amplify the light, while oak brings visual warmth. Green façades interact with the garden and panoramic wallpaper. Custom-made joinery conceals radiators and storage spaces with great precision. Glass doors filter sound while allowing light to circulate freely. The upper floors feature bedrooms, built-in storage and a comfortable master suite.
