Une maison rurale centenaire en pierres rénovée avec piscine intérieure

À Caviedes,  en Espagne, cette maison rurale centenaire en pierres a été rénovée et est devenue une jolie et grande maison de vacances. Sur les pentes du mont Corona, la maison baptisée "La Bendita" était autrefois en ruine et possédait une écurie attenante. Elle déploie aujourd’hui 650m2. Les grandes fenêtres donnent sur un grand jardin. Le rez-de-chaussée décloisonné rassemble le salon, la salle à manger et la cuisine autour d’un îlot central convivial. Une ancienne pièce de salaison a été transformée en une chambre avec salle de bains. La piscine intérieure chauffée dans la véranda prolonge l’espace de vie et fait face aux baies vitrées.

À l’étage, cinq chambres avec salle de bain accueillent famille et amis dans un esprit simple et chaleureux. Le dernier niveau abrite une chambre double, une chambre d’enfants et leurs salles d’eau. La designer Dafne Vijande chargée de sa décoration, a signé un intérieur où le bois, la pierre et les tissus aux tons chauds dialoguent naturellement. Une grande partie du mobilier en châtaignier et en chêne est réalisée sur mesure, jusqu’à la bibliothèque sculptée dans un arbre du terrain. La maison s’inscrit dans le village avec sa silhouette fidèle à la tradition locale.

A century-old renovated stone cottage with indoor swimming pool

In Caviedes, Spain, this century-old stone cottage has been renovated and turned into a beautiful, spacious holiday home. On the slopes of Mount Corona, the house, named ‘La Bendita’, was once in ruins and had an adjoining stable. Today, it covers 650m2. The large windows overlook a large garden. The open-plan ground floor combines the living room, dining room and kitchen around a convivial central island. A former salting room has been converted into a bedroom with en-suite bathroom. The heated indoor swimming pool in the veranda extends the living space and faces the bay windows.

Upstairs, five bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms welcome family and friends in a simple and warm atmosphere. The top floor has a double bedroom, a children's bedroom and their own shower rooms. Designer Dafne Vijande, who was responsible for the interior design, has created a space where wood, stone and warm-toned fabrics blend together naturally. Much of the chestnut and oak furniture is custom-made, including the bookcase carved from a tree on the property. The house blends into the village with its silhouette faithful to local tradition.
