Dans ce studio de 38m² situé dans un immeuble ancien, les contraintes sont nombreuses. La moitié de la surface est occupée par l'entrée, la cuisine et la salle de bains et en conséquence, la pièce principale où l'on trouve le salon et l'espace chambre n'excède pas 20m², de plus un mur de soutien entre cette zone et l'entrée ne permet pas de l'ouvrir sans des travaux onéreux. Le choix a donc été d'installer des rangements avec des miroirs dans l'espace réception afin d'augmenter visuellement la surface et refléter la lumière, et d'installer dans l'entrée le coin repas donnant sur la cuisine ouverte. Il serait toutefois judicieux d'obtenir l'autorisation d'abattre ce mur porteur et de le remplacer par un IPN afin d'ouvrir les espaces entre eux.

Small areas of the Day: Mirror, mirror on the wall
In this studio flat of 38m ² located in an old building, there are many constraints. Half of the area is occupied by the entrance, kitchen and bathroom and consequently the main room where you will find the living room and the bedroom area doesn't exceed 20m ², further a retaining wall between this area and the entrance can't be opened without expensive work. The choice has been to install storage with mirrors in the reception area to visually increase the surface and reflect light, and install in the entrance a dining area overlooking the open kitchen. However,  it would be judicious to get permission to shoot this structural wall and replace it with an IPN beam to open the spaces between them.
