You dream of a container house but it's complicated? Discover this easy solution built in only 2 days!
If I believe the success of the container houses presented on the blog, it is a dream to be accomplished for many of you. If the project is tempting, it is sometimes complicated to implement largely due to restrictive local legislation in some cities or regions (I do not recommend you to plan this project in a perimeter classified like by the Bâtiments de France, it is almost an impossible mission). The second problem is to bring a container to your home, although some companies are beginning to specialise in delivering containers or container houses that have already been finished (with a corresponding price, of course). In Brazil, the architecture firm Porto Quadrado has built a set of three houses that look like container houses, but are not. The corrugated metal facades, the raw OSB interior design, and the prompt construction make this ensemble an idea to be copied, perhaps simpler to implement than a container house, while maintaining a very innovative look. Each house has a surface area of 35m², the equivalent of a 40-foot container house. By using prefabricated panels, the builders managed to assemble these three houses in less than two days, saving a lot of time and effort and keeping the overall cost of the project low. Each house includes a kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, living room and a wooden deck. You will be able to see the video of the implementation by clicking on this link, which will no doubt be inspiring for you.
