Cette superbe maison située à la périphérie de Bruxelles que vous avez la chance d'admirer, était une véritable ruine où il pleuvait à l'intérieur (voir les photos en fin d'article) lors de son acquisition. Il fallait bien tout le talent de son propriétaire, l'architecte Marc La Rocca pour en voir le potentiel et en faire cette lumineuse bâtisse inspirée par les œuvres des architectes modernistes d’après-guerre comme Pierre Koening, Craig Ellwood, ou Jean Prouvé avec un budget pourtant limité. Achetée il y 5 ans,  c'était une ruine certes,  mais également la 1ère maison réalisée en 1959 par  l’architecte Van Coppenolle à son retour des Etats-Unis, dans style structurel simple, préfabriqué, dans la tradition des maisons mid-century modern d’après-guerre. Marc (que je remercie pour cette publication), en a fait un mélange entre une cabane dans un quartier résidentiel et un loft en pleine nature dans laquelle il y fait bon de vivre le tout sans prétention, selon ses propres déclarations (et on en est sûrs!) This bright house, renovated by an architect, was a ruin.
This marvellous house located on the outskirts of Brussels, which you have the chance to admire, was a real ruin where it was raining inside (see photos at the end of the article) when it was acquired. It took all the talent of its owner, the architect Marc La Rocca, to see its potential and make this luminous building inspired by the works of post-war modernist architects such as Pierre Koening, Craig Ellwood, or Jean Prouvé with a limited budget. Bought 5 years ago, it was certainly a ruin, but it was also the first house built in 1959 by the architect Van Coppenolle on his return from the United States, in a simple, prefabricated structural style, in the tradition of post-war modern mid-century houses. Marc (whom I would like to thank for this publication), has made it a mixture of a cabin in a residential area and a loft in the middle of nature, where it is good to live without pretension, according to his own statements (and we are sure of it!)
