Sur une colline au-dessus d'une église en Suède, on trouve cette charmante maison ancienne en bois qui a été reconstruite en 1926, sur la base d'une bâtisse détruite datant du XIXe siècle. La façade, et les fenêtres à meneaux ont été conservés à l'identique lors de sa rénovation récente et sa décoration douce est en parfait accord avec son environnement bucolique. Si elle n'est pas très grande, elle est proche des fjords et en été, vous pouvez voir des voiliers et des cargos glisser le long de la rivière à un rythme lent. Non loin de la grande ville de Göteborg, elle offre une vie plus équilibrée que dans une métropole.
A l'intérieur, la luminosité est de mise avec une orientation sur trois côtés. La vue sur la vallée de la rivière et sur les couchers de soleil font partie des plaisirs quotidiens. Les murs bardés de bois gris, le mobilier mélangeant le design scandinave et le bois patiné donnent une atmosphère à la fois moderne et traditionnelle. On a hill above a church in Sweden is this charming old wooden house, which was rebuilt in 1926 from a destroyed 19th century building. The facade and mullioned windows have been preserved in the recent renovation and the soft decoration is in perfect harmony with its bucolic surroundings. Although it is not very large, it is close to the fjords and in summer you can see sailing ships and freighters gliding along the river at a slow pace. Not far from the big city of Gothenburg, it offers a more harmonious life than in a major city.
Inside, it is bright and airy with a three-sided orientation. The view of the river valley and the sunsets are part of the daily pleasures. The grey wood clad walls, the furniture mixing Scandinavian design and weathered wood give a modern yet traditional atmosphere.
