Grâce à sa conception en modules, par Liga Arquitectura, elle peut être transportée et installée par seulement deux personnes sans l'aide d'une grue, dans des endroits difficiles d'accès.
Elle a été également pensée pour avoir le moins d'interférences possibles sur son environnement, qu'il s'agisse du choix des matériaux ou de son utilisation en énergie, ne nécessitant pas de climatisation par exemple, et avec des surfaces vitrées permettant de profiter au maximum de l'éclairage naturel. Ses fondations sur pieux métalliques ont été conçues pour minimiser l'impact sur le lieu d'installation, et on utilise du béton uniquement pour les sabots de pieux. C'est Cubic Cabanas, une entreprise qui compte parmi ses fondateurs les architectes responsables du projet qui s'occupe de la production, de la commercialisation et du montage de cette cabine design de 33m2 dans tout le Brésil et envisage déjà la production d'autres modèles.
Compact and functional, the Cabana is a 33m2 design cabin made of black wood and built in Brazil to be easily installed anywhere. Thanks to its modular design by Liga Arquitectura, it can be transported and installed by just two people without the help of a crane, in places that are difficult to access.
It has also been designed to have the least possible impact on its environment, both in terms of the choice of materials and energy use, requiring no air conditioning for example, and with glazed surfaces to make the most of natural light. Its foundations on metal piles have been designed to minimise the impact on the installation site, and concrete is used only for the pile shoes. Cubic Cabanas, a company whose founders include the architects responsible for the project, is in charge of the production, marketing and assembly of this 33m2 design cabin throughout Brazil and is already planning the production of other models.
