Cette magnifique maison en pierres en Crète, Mountainside Monument, a été construite au 14ème siècle, sur les hauteurs du petit village typique de Maroulas. Classée au monuments historiques, elle a bénéficié d'une rénovation en 1991 qui a associé ses vieux murs à une décoration contemporaine. Elle a été dotée en outre d'une piscine dans son patio, un havre de fraîcheur bienfaisant pour ceux qui ont envie de se baigner, même si les plages ne sont qu'à 3 kilomètres de là.
D'une surface de 540m2, elle possède grâce à son emplacement dominant, une vue sur la mer depuis sa terrasse. La décoration est celle de notre siècle, et offre tout le confort moderne à ses occupants.
