Cette maison A-frame surprend plus d'une fois lorsqu'on la découvre. Sa porte rose se détachant sur la façade blanche laisse augurer un intérieur bohème et doux. On ne s'est pas trompé. Construite en 1959, elle a été rénové dans un style inhabituel, et est destinée à être une maison pour les week-ends et les vacances, près du lac Arrowhead en Californie. Lorsque sa propriétaire, Jo Ann Thrailkill a cherché une maison pour ses loisirs, non loin de Los Angeles, elle a trouvé cette maison abandonnée depuis une dizaine d' années et presque en ruines qu'elle a rénovée et appelée "Little Apple", en hommage aux arbres fruitiers situés dans la propriété.
