Décoration baroque et sombre pour une maison anglaise
Cette décoration baroque et sombre est très réussie, même si ce n'est pas forcément celle que nous aurions choisi pour cette maison anglaise
Les Anglais ont sans doute une sorte de folie qui nous manque, ils osent beaucoup que ce soit en terme de décoration intérieure ou de mode. Il suffit de se promener dans les rues de Londres pour voir combien ils savent innover pour leurs looks sans que cela ne surprenne personne, pas plus que s'ils portaient un chapeau melon et un costume trois pièces, comme à la City. C'est donc toujours un vrai plaisir de découvrir une maison où l'originalité est de mise, comme dans cette maison de style édouardien à la décoration baroque et sombre.
C'est sur Instagram que nous la retrouvons, sur le compte de Reece & Paul (@littleedwardian), qui ont un studio de design intérieur, et qui ont entrepris sa rénovation pour la rendre plus conforme à leurs goûts. Il fallait oser prendre le noir comme fil conducteur des pièces, particulièrement dans le salon. Mais avouons que cette décoration baroque et sombre est très réussie, même si ce n'est pas forcément celle que nous aurions choisi. Nous voici vraiment dans une visite très originale, où la beauté des lieux nous fait envisager des choix plus affirmés pour chez nous. Mais je crois que je manque du courage de ces propriétaires talentueux, et je vais rester sagement avec mon blanc banal, si reposant, et sans audace...Mais je suis vraiment admirative, n'en doutez pas !
The English have a kind of madness that we all miss, they dare a lot whether it is in terms of interior design or fashion. You only have to walk through the streets of London to see how much they know how to innovate their looks without it surprising anyone, any more than if they were wearing a bowler hat and a three-piece suit, like in the City. So it's always a pleasure to discover a house where originality is the order of the day, as in this Edwardian house with its dark, baroque decor.
We found it on Instagram, on the account of Reece & Paul (@littleedwardian), who have an interior design studio, and who undertook its renovation to make it more in keeping with their tastes. It was a daring move to use black as a common thread in the rooms, especially in the living room. But let's admit that this baroque and dark decoration is very successful, even if it is not necessarily the one we would have chosen. This is really a very original visit, where the beauty of the place makes us consider more assertive choices for our home. But I think I lack the courage of these talented owners, and I will wisely stay with my banal white, so restful, and without audacity... But I am really admiring, be sure!
