C'est l'architecte réputé Harold Hal Levitt qui a conçu cette maison mid-century sur deux niveaux en Californie dans les années 60. Son architecture cache un intérieur contemporain, aux tons naturels. Comme souvent aux USA, c'est une maison aux vastes volumes avec sa surface d'environ 460m2. Elle a bien entendu dans son jardin une piscine, un "accessoire" indispensable pour tout maison californienne ! Cet architecte est connu pour avoir dessiné et réalisé de nombreuses maisons pour des stars comme Olivia Newton John, Burt Lancaster, Dean Martin ou encore Debbie Reynolds.
Cette maison mid-century est un autre de ses projets connue sous le nom de Roscoe Moss Estate. Nichée au bout d'une longue allée sur un terrain avec de beaux arbres, elle est cachée des regards du voisinage. Les éléments datant de sa période de construction ont été méticuleusement préservés, comme les sols en terrazzo d'origine. La décoration sobre de cette maison mid-century laisse la vedette aux vues, et à la nature. Les nombreuses fenêtres et baies vitrées estompent les frontières entre l'intérieur et l'extérieur, et offrent également des vues pittoresques sur les montagnes et les arbres, ainsi que sur la piscine.

The many windows and bay windows blur the boundaries between inside and outside, and also offer picturesque views of the mountains and trees, as well as the pool.
