Un appartement blanc transformé par la couleur et la décoration vintage
C'est Gemma McCloskey, fondatrice du studio de création et de design Cúpla Studio qui a décoré un appartement blanc transformé en un univers coloré et vintage en Angleterre, lui donnant une réelle personnalité. Il se trouve dans un immeuble de construction récente, et ses principales qualités étaient d'avoir une terrasse et un plan fonctionnel. Au niveau de l'originalité, tout était à faire. Le choix s'est porté sur de la couleur en quantité, à travers le papier-peint, le textile, le mobilier, et les oeuvres d'art disséminées un peu partout.
A partir d'une toile vierge , la designer a créé un véritable décor audacieux, avec un talent particulier pour trouver l'équilibre des couleurs vives, un exercice de style particulièrement difficile à réaliser. Les murs ont été habillés de papier peint en soie de De Gournay, dans des tons pastel, qui constituent la toile de fond pour les nombreuses œuvres d'art. Le mobilier est ludique, comme les chaises de la salle à manger, ou le fauteuil Roly Poly de la terrasse, choisi sagement en blanc, qui l'aurait cru? La cerise sur le gâteau dans cet appartement blanc transformé par la couleur et le vintage est sans aucun doute les luminaires sphériques en verre de Murano créés par la designer qui ajoute leur magie dans les chambres. Gemma McCloskey, founder of the creative and design studio Cúpla Studio, decorated a white flat in England that was transformed into a colourful and vintage world, giving it a real personality. It is located in a newly built building, and its main qualities were to have a terrace and a functional plan. In terms of originality, it was all about originality. The choice was to use lots of colour in the wallpaper, textiles, furniture and artworks everywhere.
From a blank canvas, the designer created a truly daring décor, with a particular talent for finding the right balance of bright colours, a particularly difficult stylistic exercise to achieve. The walls have been covered with pastel silk wallpaper by De Gournay, which forms the backdrop for the many works of art. The furniture is playful, like the chairs in the dining room, or the Roly Poly armchair on the terrace, wisely chosen in white, who would have thought? The icing on the cake in this white flat transformed by colour and vintage is undoubtedly the spherical Murano glass lights created by the designer that add their magic to the bedrooms.
