Elle s'est attaché à rendre l'intérieur chaleureux, et en faire un de ceux que l'on a définitivement pas envie de quitter après s'y être installé. Elle possédait déjà une propriété au bord de la mer, baptisée The Drifters House, qui accueille également des hôtes pour les vacances.
L'appartement a une vue sur la rivière Derwent jusqu'au mont Wellington, et une décoration chaleureuse avec une palette de tons naturels et sobres. Il a deux chambres et est situé dans un immeuble en briques rouges banal typique de son époque de construction en 1950, et s'il n'était pas en très bon état, sa localisation a convaincu Julie et son mari de l'acheter et de le rénover. Autrefois coiffeuse, Julie a décidé après la reprise de ses études de réaliser son rêve, et d'ouvrir la boutique de décoration Wesley & Willis, et le moins que l'on puisse dire à la vue de ces photos, c'est qu'elle a parfaitement trouvé sa voie.
Designer Julie Willis has renovated The Binney, turning it into a country-style flat in Hobart, Tasmania's capital. She focused on making the interior warm and inviting, and making it one of those places you definitely don't want to leave once you've settled in. She already owned a seaside property called The Drifters House, which also welcomes guests for holidays.
The flat has views across the River Derwent to Mount Wellington, and is warmly decorated with a palette of natural and subdued tones. It has two bedrooms and is situated in an unremarkable red brick building typical of the period when it was built in 1950, and although it was not in very good condition, its location convinced Julie and her husband to buy it and renovate it. Formerly a hairdresser, Julie decided after resuming her studies to make her dream come true and open the Wesley & Willis decoration boutique, and the least we can say from these photos is that she has found her way perfectly.
