Cette ancienne ferme construite au 19e siècle en 1864 nichée au milieu d'arbres, des Eucalyptus indigènes plusieurs fois centenaires, est devenue une maison de vacances, un cottage australien avec vue sur les chaînes e montagnes Grampians/Gariwerd. Stoneycroft appartient à la même famille depuis plus de cent ans, et se trouve sur le terrain d'une ferme, Cavendish's South Mokanger, où l'on exploite les terres, fait de l'élevage mais qui propose également des locations de vacances.
Le cottage en pierre bleue avec ses larges vérandas et sa cheminée peut désormais accueillir jusqu'à 16 personnes avec les annexes. Ses propriétaires, la décoratrice d'intérieur Madeline McFarlane et son mari Johnny Gardner sont la quatrième génération à s'occuper du domaine, et ont entrepris de le moderniser tout en lui conservant son charme d'origine. Les murs ont été peints en blanc à l'intérieur, pour plus de luminosité, et l'aspect rustique et authentique est préservé grâce au mobilier et aux objets hérités ou trouvés dans les brocantes.

Stoneycroft has been in the same family for over a hundred years and is situated on the grounds of Cavendish's South Mokanger farm, which not only farms and ranches but also offers holiday rentals.
The bluestone cottage with its large porches and fireplace now sleeps up to 16 people with the annexes. The owners, interior designer Madeline McFarlane and her husband Johnny Gardner, are the fourth generation to run the estate and have undertaken to modernise it while retaining its original charm. The walls have been painted white inside for added light, and the rustic, authentic feel is preserved with furniture and objects that have been inherited or found at flea markets.
