C'est au nord de l'Espagne, dans la région de la Biscaye, que nous découvrons la maison passive à la décoration naturelle d'un jeune couple. Cette région fait partie du Pays Basque Espagnol. La maison a été construite avec les normes Passivhaus, et sa décoration a été confiée à  l' architecte d'intérieur, Natalia Zubizarreta. Les propriétaires, soucieux d'écologie, voulait une maison durable, avec une faible consommation d'énergie, une qualité d'air optimum, et le respect de l'environnement.

Construite par l'entreprise spécialisée dans ce type de bâtiment Eiser, elle répond à tous ces critères. Les propriétaires voulait un style chaleureux et rustique, mais rajeuni, moderne et chic. L'architecte d'intérieur a donc sélectionné pour cette maison passive à la décoration naturelle, du bois, des textiles comme le coton ou le lin, des fibres et de la pierre. La cuisine est fermée par une verrière au dessin inspiré par le style Art Déco pour moderniser l'atmosphère.

Passive house with natural decor in the Spanish Basque Country

In the north of Spain, in the region of Biscay, we discover the passive house with natural decor of a young couple. This region is part of the Spanish Basque Country. The house was built according to Passivhaus standards, and its decor was entrusted to the interior designer, Natalia Zubizarreta. The ecologically minded owners wanted a sustainable house with low energy consumption, optimum air quality and respect for the environment.

Built by the company Eiser, which specialises in this type of building, it meets all these criteria. The owners wanted a warm and rustic style, but rejuvenated, modern and chic. The interior designer therefore selected wood, textiles such as cotton and linen, fibres and stone for this passive house with its natural decor.
