Un hôtel pas comme les autres dédié à l'art à Bordeaux, le Marty
Il m'arrive de séjourner à Bordeaux pour quelques jours, le plus souvent pour le travail, et aussi pour rendre visite à ma famille. C'est pour cette raison que j'ai eu l'occasion de m'installer dans un hôtel pas comme les autres, le Marty, situé idéalement dans le quartier de Meriadeck, en bordure immédiate du centre historique, que l'on atteint après quelques minutes de marche ou en prenant le tram dont la station est toute proche (ce tram dessert également directement l'aéroport). C'est Younight Hospitality, qui signe ce nouvel hôtel, qui est sous drapeau Tapestry Collection by Hilton. Toute la décoration a été pensée et réalisée par Younight Hospitality et plus précisément Céline Meslin et son frère Xavier Bohuon et c'est un lieu où l'art se trouve à chaque coin, jusque dans les chambres.
Il a tout du boutique-hôtel au charme unique, avec sa décoration actuelle dans des tons sobres et profonds. Dès l'entrée, on est accueilli par un arrangement floral d'une grande beauté. Le ton est donné. L'atmosphère est à la fois chaleureuse, feutrée et sereine. J'ai eu l'occasion de dormir dans une chambre très agréable (la literie est un véritable bonheur, et l'on sait combien c'est essentiel loin de chez soi !). La salle de bain est celle que je voudrais chez moi (j'ai pris de nombreuses photos pour m'en inspirer). Et on ne sait que choisir pour le petit-déjeuner, où l'on trouve des viennoiseries et du pain provenant de la maison Lamour, qui a remportée le titre de "meilleure boulangerie de France" il y a quelques années, et dont la réputation n'est pas usurpée. Enfin, cet hôtel pas comme les autres met en avant les œuvres d'art, qui sont nombreuses dans les chambres, toujours des créations originales proposées en collaboration avec Nell Caritey-Hergué, fondatrice de la galerie L’Artillerie. Des artistes sont régulièrement exposés sur place, et l'on peut s'offrir une toile, une gravure, que l'on a admirée. I sometimes stay in Bordeaux for a few days, usually for work, but also to visit my family. It's for this reason that I've had the opportunity to stay in a hotel like no other, the Marty, ideally located in the Meriadeck district, right on the edge of the historic centre, which can be reached after a few minutes' walk or by taking the tram, the station for which is very close by (this tram also serves the airport directly). It has all the hallmarks of a uniquely charming boutique hotel, with its contemporary decor in deep, sober tones. As soon as you enter, you are greeted by a beautiful floral arrangement. The tone is set. The atmosphere is warm, hushed and serene. I had the opportunity to sleep in a very pleasant bedroom (the bedding is a real treat, and we know how essential it is away from home!). The bathroom is the one I'd like in my own home (I took lots of photos for inspiration). And you don't know what to choose for breakfast, which includes viennoiseries and bread from Lamour, which won the title of "best bakery in France" a few years ago, and whose reputation is well deserved. Finally, this hotel like no other puts the spotlight on works of art, of which there are many in the bedrooms, always original creations proposed in collaboration with Nell Caritey-Hergué, founder of the L’Artillerie gallery . Artists are regularly exhibited on site, and you can treat yourself to a painting or engraving that you have admired.
