Blackwood est une maison installée dans un ancien garage dans le Norfolk, aménagé pour devenir une maison de vacances à louer. Elle est situé à quelques pas de la plage de West Ruton, et appartient à Sarah Morton, qui s'est énormément investie dans sa transformation, sa rénovation et sa décoration. Il s'agit au départ d'une dépendance située sur le terrain où se trouve la maison des années 1950, dont elle et son mari venait de faire l'acquisition. Cette dernière demandait également une grosse rénovation pour être confortable et habitable avec leurs deux enfants, et ils ont donc décidé de s'installer dans cette dépendance, qu'ils ont transformé en premier, et qui les a abrité durant les travaux de leur maison principale.
Sarah qui est avocate de formation a toujours eu une grande passion pour l'architecture et la décoration intérieure. Cet achat ayant été effectué juste avant le début de la pandémie et du confinement, ce dernier lui a permis de s'investir totalement dans sa passion et d'entreprendre la rénovation et les projets pour ce bâtiment et les autres pendant son temps d'arrêt forcé. Nous découvrons aujourd'hui une charmante maison à la décoration naturelle épurée, très lumineuse, et qui pourrait encore croire que nous sommes ici devant un ancien garage? Photo : Tori Hancock .
Blackwood is a former garage in Norfolk, converted into a holiday home for rent. It's just a stone's throw from West Ruton beach, and is owned by Sarah Morton, who has put a lot of effort into transforming, renovating and decorating it. It was originally an outbuilding in the grounds of the 1950s house she and her husband had just bought. The latter also needed a major renovation to make it comfortable and habitable for their two children, so they decided to move into this outbuilding, which they transformed first, and which sheltered them during the work on their main house.
Sarah, who trained as a lawyer, has always had a great passion for architecture and interior design. As this purchase was made just before the start of the pandemic and the lockdown, it enabled her to devote herself fully to her passion and undertake the renovation and projects for this building and the others during her forced downtime. Today, we find ourselves in a charming house with a natural, uncluttered decor and plenty of natural light, and who would still believe that we're standing here in front of a former garage?
