J'ai déjà eu l'occasion de vous parler du travail de l'architecte Alexandra Boussagol. Elle rénove et décore avec talent de nombreux appartements et maisons, et nous découvrons aujourd'hui cet appartement à Paris pour un esthète collectionneur, d'une surface de 135m2, un pied-à-terre au design exceptionnel. I've already had occasion to tell you about the work of architect Alexandra Boussagol. She renovates and decorates many houses and flats with talent, and today we discover this 135m2 flat in Paris for an aesthete collector, a pied-à-terre of exceptional design. This Parisian flat has been completely redesigned to become a warm and welcoming place, where the various objets d'art and paintings are the masters of history.
The project here is dominated by three themes: curves, the use of noble materials - dark wood and stone - to create bespoke furniture, and colour, which is present but not overpowering, adding its own distinctive touch to a world that is both classic and contemporary. Elements of the original architecture of this typically Parisian flat have been preserved, such as the magnificent parquet flooring and mouldings. On the first floor, the reception rooms are spacious and welcoming.
