Une maison en bois rénovée des années 1960 près de l'océan
A Hossegor, sur la côte ouest de la France, toute proche de l'océan, cette maison en bois rénovée des années 1960 a été transformée en une demeure à l'allure actuelle. Juste de l'autre côté de la terrasse, on aperçoit la belle plage de la Gravière, une situation privilégiée dont on aimerait profiter au quotidien. De son architecture typiquement basque du siècle dernier, elle a conservé les lignes tout en étant habillée d'une façade en bois plus actuelle. Comme il n'était pas possible à cause de la loi littoral de la raser et de la reconstruire, la rénovation a tout naturellement été préférée à une solution plus radicale.
C'est l’architecte Pierre Audat, en collaboration avec l'architecte d'intérieur Dom Palatchi, qui ont été choisis pour revoir entièrement cette maison de 210m2, qui s'intègre au mieux désormais, avec son bois patiné par les embruns distillés par l'océan, aux couleurs du sable. Ces tons de beige se retrouvent dans la décoration intérieure, discrète, élégante et douce, qui laisse la vedette aux vues sur les vagues et le ciel.
In Hossegor, on the west coast of France, close to the ocean, this renovated 1960s wooden house has been transformed into a home with a contemporary feel. Just across the terrace, you can see the beautiful Gravière beach, a privileged location that we'd love to make the most of every day. The typical Basque architecture of the last century has been preserved, while the wooden facade has been brought up to date. As it was not possible to demolish and rebuild the building because of the coastal law, renovation was naturally preferred to a more radical solution.
Architect Pierre Audat, in collaboration with interior designer Dom Palatchi, were chosen to completely redesign this 210m2 house, which now blends in perfectly with the colours of the sand, with its wood weathered by the ocean spray. These beige tones are reflected in the interior decor, which is discreet, elegant and soft, giving pride of place to the views of the waves and the sky.
