Parce que la famille des propriétaires avait des passions qui l'emmenait à la campagne le week-end, elle souhaitait avoir sa résidence secondaire dans la région de Villa de Mayo en Argentine, et elle a demandé à son ami Carlos Galíndez, architecte et associé du studio Alric-Galíndez de lui concevoir cette maison très particulière. Ce n'est pas tous les jours que l'on peut découvrir ce type de bâtiment, une maison à la façade en tôle et au toit cintré, posée sur son terrain presque comme un hangar agricole, et qui peut se fermer totalement à l'extérieur, pour assurer sa sécurité lorsque ses occupants s'absentent la semaine.
La maison a été construite avec un extérieur fait d'un treillis métallique, isolé par de la laine de verre de 10 cm d'épaisseur, à laquelle a été ajoutée la couche intérieure de bois. Les fenêtres sont équipées de moustiquaires pour que tout reste ouvert. Le pin du Brésil qui recouvre le plafond de cette maison à la façade en tôle et ses courbes, lui donnent une atmosphère protectrice et réconfortante, malgré un extérieur que certains trouveront brut. Sa décoration contemporaine reste simple et adaptée à une maison que l'on utilise seulement pour de courts séjours, et se marie parfaitement aux matériaux de construction, entre blanc et bois. Because the owners' family had hobbies that took them to the countryside at weekends, she wanted to have her second home in the Villa de Mayo region of Argentina, and asked their friend Carlos Galíndez, architect and partner in the Alric-Galíndez studio, to design this very special house for her.. It's not every day that you come across this type of building, a house with a sheet metal façade and a curved roof, set on its land almost like a farm shed, and which can be completely closed off from the outside, to ensure its security when its occupants are away during the week.
The house has been built with a metal mesh exterior, insulated with 10 cm thick glass wool, to which the interior layer of wood has been added. The windows are fitted with mosquito nets to keep everything open. The Brazilian pine that covers the ceiling of this tin-fronted house, and its curves, give it a protective and comforting atmosphere, despite an exterior that some may find rough.
