Située dans une zone humide, à proximité d'un ruisseau qui peut grossir et envahir le jardin, la mettant les pieds dans l'eau, cette maison de 64m2 en eucalyptus, grâce à sa conception intelligente ne souffre pas d'humidité. En effet l'architecte Juliana Mondinalli, qui l'a conçue pour elle et sa famille en collaboration avec l'architecte Franco Palacios Beltran, a prévu de la surélever pour éviter ce problème. La maison est située à Villa Garibaldi, sur la plaine inondable d'Arroyo El Pescado dans la province de Buenos Aires en Argentine.
L'idée était que la pluie et l'eau soient non seulement perçues, mais célébrées. L'objectif était également de raviver et de redéfinir les typologies et les matériaux typiques de l'architecture du Rio de la Plata, tels que les galeries et la tôle. L'intérieur de cette maison de 64m2 en eucalyptus contraste avec son extérieur qui peut sembler brut et froid. Elle est aménagée avec un plan ouvert au rez-de-chaussée. Situated in a damp area, close to a stream that can swell and invade the garden, leaving the house with its feet in the water, this 64m2 eucalyptus house, thanks to its intelligent design, does not suffer from dampness. In fact, architect Juliana Mondinalli, who designed it for her and her family in collaboration with architect Franco Palacios Beltran, planned to elevate it to avoid this problem. The house is located in Villa Garibaldi, on the flood plain of Arroyo El Pescado in the province of Buenos Aires in Argentina.
The idea was that rain and water should not only be perceived, but celebrated. The aim was also to revive and redefine the typologies and materials typical of Rio de la Plata architecture, such as galleries and sheet metal. The interior of this 64m2 eucalyptus house contrasts with its exterior, which can appear rough and cold. It has an open plan layout on the ground floor. Upstairs is the mezzanine bedroom.
