Un appartement baigné de lumière réinventé à Londres

À Londres, certaines adresses racontent plus qu’une histoire de décoration: elles parlent de métamorphose. Dans une ancienne usine de 1928, cet appartement baigné de lumière a été réinventé par  Barnaby Gunning Studio et Sarah Delaney Design. Il  affiche un style industriel chic parfaitement revisité. Issu de l’union de deux appartements, il s’étend désormais sur 255m2 et propose quatre chambres ainsi qu’une spectaculaire terrasse sur le toit. De vastes fenêtres Crittall et six lucarnes inondent le séjour de lumière, un espace habillé de briques apparentes et qui possède un escalier en acier perforé qui mène à l'étage.

La palette de couleurs reste volontairement sobre, tandis qu’un sol en microciment recouvre les sols de la grande pièce de vie. Elle accueille non seulement la cuisine en longueur ouvert et fonctionnelle, mais aussi le salon et la salle à manger. À l’étage, deux chambres prennent place sous les toits . La suite parentale, est aménagée comme un havre de confort avec sa baignoire en fonte, sa  coiffeuse en marbre et son dressing. Depuis le toit-terrasse, Londres se dévoile avec des vues saisissantes, dont la Trellick Tower, silhouette brutaliste signée Ernő Goldfinger.

A light-filled apartment reinvented in London

In London, some addresses tell more than just a story of decoration: they speak of metamorphosis. In a former 1928 factory, this light-filled apartment was reinvented by Barnaby Gunning Studio and Sarah Delaney Design. It showcases a perfectly revisited industrial chic style. The result of the union of two apartments, it now extends to 255m2 and offers four bedrooms as well as a spectacular roof terrace. Crittall windows and six skylights flood the living room with light, a space clad in exposed brick and featuring a perforated steel staircase leading to the upper floor.

The colour palette remains deliberately understated, while a microcement floor covers the floors of the large living room. It not only accommodates the long, open, and functional kitchen but also the living room and dining room. Upstairs, two bedrooms are located under the roof. The master suite is designed as a haven of comfort with its cast iron bathtub, marble vanity, and walk-in wardrobe. From the rooftop terrace, London unfolds with stunning views, including the Trellick Tower, a brutalist silhouette designed by Ernő Goldfinger.
