À Bakkum aux Pays-Bas, le relooking d'une maison de ville lui a permis de retrouver de harmonie et chaleur grâce aux courbes et aux couleurs douces. La nouvelle décoration pensée avec finesse pour une famille lui a donné une nouvelle vie. Inspirée par Milan, la designer Marianne Luning a signé pour elle un intérieur pensé pour une vie quotidienne agréable. Depuis neuf ans, Mattijn et Irma vivaient dans cette maison jumelée familiale. Après l’achat, sa rénovation et son agrandissement ont démarré vite, mais les choix ont vite déçu. L’intérieur leur semblait froid, incohérent, et le mobilier leur paraissait banal. La configuration en U compliquait encore la décoration, avec trois espaces séparés autour du poêle. Ne sachant plus comment avancer, ils ont sollicité Vt Wonen pour le relooking de la maison. La designer a alors imaginé un projet pour harmoniser les volumes grâce à des couleurs ton sur ton.
Textures variées, bois sombre et matières minérales créent une atmosphère chaleureuse. La maison, toujours ouverte, devait rester accueillante pour la famille et les amis. Ce cadre de vie convivial a guidé chaque décision du nouveau décor. Les avis divergeaient pourtant, Mattijn rêvait de bruns profonds, Irma préférait le beige et les lignes scandinaves. Marianne a composé une décoration élégante tenant compte de leurs goûts différents. Des courbes discrètes ont été ajoutées pour adoucir la rigueur initiale des volumes. Chaque pièce dialogue désormais avec les autres, malgré la séparation imposée par la forme en U. Le poêle central devient un point de ralliement naturel, visible depuis chaque angle. The new, tastefully designed décor has given it a new lease of life for a family. Inspired by Milan, designer Marianne Luning created an interior designed for comfortable everyday living. Mattijn and Irma had been living in this semi-detached family home for nine years. After purchasing it, they quickly began renovating and extending it, but were soon disappointed with their choices. They found the interior cold and incoherent, and the furniture uninspiring. The U-shaped layout further complicated the decorating process, with three separate spaces around the stove. Not knowing how to proceed, they asked Vt Wonen to give the house a makeover. The designer then came up with a plan to harmonise the spaces using tone-on-tone colours.
Varied textures, dark wood and mineral materials create a warm atmosphere. The house, which is always open, had to remain welcoming for family and friends. This convivial living environment guided every decision about the new decor. However, opinions differed: Mattijn dreamed of deep browns, while Irma preferred beige and Scandinavian lines. Marianne created an elegant decor that took their different tastes into account. Discreet curves were added to soften the initial rigour of the volumes. Each room now interacts with the others, despite the separation imposed by the U-shape. The central stove becomes a natural gathering point, visible from every angle.
