Après avoir visité de nombreuses ruines, ses propriétaires, Edwin, un ancien entrepreneur, et Odette, une styliste, sont tombés pourtant sous le charme immédiat du lieu. Pendant sept années, ils ont repensé patiemment cette ferme italienne, sans jamais trahir son histoire. Les murs en pierre épaisse et les poutres d’origine ont été conservés avec soin. Ils ont introduit ensuite des couleurs fortes, du graphisme, et des choix décoratifs très personnels. Le mélange crée un dialogue entre héritage rural et regard contemporain. Cette maison de vacances est devenue une expérience autant architecturale qu’émotionnelle.
La ferme se compose de deux appartements indépendants, reliés par un escalier intérieur modulable. Cette configuration permet de réunir les espaces ou de préserver une séparation totale. Le rez-de-chaussée propose un intérieur chaleureux, ponctué de mobilier vintage et de design hollandais contemporain. Les carreaux de terre cuite dialoguent avec des lignes modernes, dans un équilibre soigneusement pensé. Un poêle à bois structure l’espace et renforce l’atmosphère accueillante. À l’extérieur, la piscine d’eau salée de treize mètres attire tous les regards. Une terrasse ensoleillée, une pergola et une grande table invitent aux repas prolongés. Située près de Macerata, l'emplacement offre randonnées, villages animés et plages adriatiques accessibles rapidement.
Nestled in the green hills of Marche, this former Italian farmhouse converted into a holiday home now boasts a bold, designer interior. After visiting numerous ruins, its owners, Edwin, a former entrepreneur, and Odette, a stylist, fell instantly in love with the place. Over seven years, they patiently redesigned the farmhouse, without ever betraying its history. The thick stone walls and original beams have been carefully preserved. They then introduced bold colours, graphics and very personal decorative choices. The mix creates a dialogue between rural heritage and contemporary style. This holiday home has become both an architectural and emotional experience.
The farmhouse consists of two independent apartments, connected by a modular internal staircase. This configuration allows the spaces to be combined or kept completely separate. The ground floor offers a warm interior, punctuated with vintage furniture and contemporary Dutch design. The terracotta tiles interact with modern lines in a carefully thought-out balance. A wood-burning stove structures the space and enhances the welcoming atmosphere. Outside, the 13-metre saltwater swimming pool is a real eye-catcher. A sunny terrace, a pergola and a large table invite you to linger over meals. Located near Macerata, the location offers hiking, lively villages and Adriatic beaches within easy reach.
