En Australie, une maison Arts and Crafts de 1913 a été réinventée par la designer Jillian Dinkel, qui travaillait avec ses propriétaires pour la seconde fois. Kilmory House, est une demeure historique australienne. La maison porte la signature du cabinet Manson and Pickering qui l'a conçue au début du 20e siècle. Cette maison n'a pas de vocation de résidence secondaire, mais est pensée pour recevoir. Son intérieur s’inspire du design anglais revisité avec des notes de gothique moderne. Les volumes existants ont été réorganisés pour optimiser le confort des réceptions qui y sont organisées. La cuisine professionnelle, et la grande salle à manger ont gagné une nouvelle énergie. Le projet privilégie l’accueil et  la convivialité.

Les anciennes chambres ont trouvé de nouvelles destinations, devenant studio de pilates, salle de jeux, atelier. Des éléments architecturaux majeurs dans cette maison Art and Crafts participent à l' impression d'élégance. Jillian Dinkel a assuré la décoration intérieure, sélectionné le mobilier et les objets avec cohérence. Son approche attentive donne un lieu qui accueille les invités avec un grand sens du confort. Le plan d’étage favorise la circulation, rendant les réceptions simples à organiser. Les matériaux choisis privilégient la durabilité et un entretien raisonnable. An Arts and Crafts house reinvented by Jillian Dinkel

In Australia, a 1913 Arts and Crafts house has been reinvented by designer Jillian Dinkel, who was working with its owners for the second time. Kilmory House is a historic Australian residence. The house bears the signature of the Manson and Pickering firm, which designed it in the early 20th century. This house is not intended as a second home, but is designed for entertaining. Its interior is inspired by English design, revisited with touches of modern Gothic. The existing spaces have been reorganised to optimise comfort for the receptions held there. The professional kitchen and large dining room have been given a new lease of life. This project focuses on hospitality and conviviality.

The former bedrooms have found new uses, becoming a Pilates studio, games room and workshop. Major architectural elements in this Arts and Crafts house contribute to the impression of elegance. Jillian Dinkel was responsible for the interior design, selecting furniture and objects with consistency. Her thoughtful approach creates a space that welcomes guests with a great sense of comfort. The floor plan promotes circulation, making receptions easy to organise. The materials chosen prioritise durability and reasonable maintenance.
